§ 2.04.070. Compelling attendance.

  • If a member of the Council shall fail or refuse to attend any regular, special or called meeting of the Council, a majority of the Aldermen present may direct the Mayor or presiding officer to direct any police officer to go out and notify all absent members that can be found in the city, who are not unable through sickness, to attend, and if upon notice and request by the officer any such member shall refuse to attend, the officer shall, without warrant, arrest the member and bring him or her to the Council meeting.
